One pen sinking in that ocean wild
Not a rescuer to be found,
But whales humiliating its nib all blue
Floating and snorkeling around.
Myriad sea animals fixed their gazes
On that hapless pen in need,
They uncovered their hungry drools
And plodded ahead to feed.
That one pen sinking in the ocean
Wept poems of awaited glee.
But, the waves washed away those
scattered words
Setting the poesy's scars free.
Just then,
Those waters embraced its
frightened quill
And smooched that one pen with delight
So, we dropped our fishing rods
And walked forth to witness that sight.
