जिनके हर दर्द में सिर्फ़ हमीं हमदर्द हुआ करते थे।
उनके बेवजह ख़ुश हो जाने भर से हम मुस्कराते रहे।।

पर इख़्तियार जिन पर हमने ख़ुद से ज़्यादा किया।
उनकी ज़िंदगी में कोई और है वो हमीं से छुपाते रहे।।
