I stood their desperately looking for you,
My eyes blinked at every move.
No sign of yours, nothing could I hear,
You said you were coming but you did not appear.
What happened to the promise, what happend to our love?
What will I do and where will I go?

मादक चित्र-वीथियाँ बना कर,
वज़ूद कहे खुल के इज़हार कर,
तुम्हारे लिए, इश्क़ पे ऐतबार कर।

खुशियाँ सारी समेट कर,
इश्क़ के धागों में पिरोकर,
अहसासों को आजमा कर,
जज़्बातों को ग़ज़ल बना कर,
कायनात की धुन सजाकर,
रूह कहे और इंतज़ार कर,
तुम्हारे लिए, बेइंतिहा सब्र कर।
