एक इंसान बनकर
इस जहां से क्यूं जाना है फिर
धर्म की पहचान बनकर
कोई जला देगा तुम्हें
हिंदू समझकर, या
दफ्न हो जाना है मिट्टी में
एक मुसलमान बनकर
कभी मंदिर के नाम पर, तो कभी
कहकर लाउडस्पीकर और अजान
कूचों और गलियारों में
बिछा रहे हैं लाशें तमाम
ये खेल नफरत का तो देखो,
खेला जाता है लहू की बिसात पर
जान की बाजी लगाकर भी
आजतक ना कोई जीता है
चले जाना है दुनिया से
अपने आने की वजह भी हारकर।-

क्यो उस दिन न टूट गई??

नंगी तलवारों के साथ,
एक झुंड वो आया था।
बांध मुझे कुर्सी में,फिर,
दरवाजा वो लगाया था।
बांह पकड़कर खींचा उसको,
फिर दुपट्टा लहराया था।
पहली मर्तबा था यह, चीख मैंने सुनी,
पर मदद नहीं कर पाया था।
बीस बरस के बाद, मै अपनी,
"बेटी को", घर में "नंगा" पाया था..।
