I heard some songs about friendships,
They took me back to sleepless nights,
We had a lot of them in hostel,
Yet your being there made things right.

I remember leaving home,
Uncertain of what lied ahead,
But with you I found a comfort zone,
Getting out of which is even more sad.

I remember our early mornings,
Missing breakfast and skipping classes,
Blaming each other for these things,
And finding joy in our little losses.

I had been on the bed next to you,
And we almost shared our entire lives,
And now we have to move away,
Yet I hope that our bond survives.

Dear college roommate,
We have only just parted ways,
But keep in mind that our memories,
Are there with you,and that they stay.

I know life has so much more to it,
And it is going to be better with time,
But remember, my little old friend,
We are brothers till the end of life.
